MAC 3D Glitters Review

Feb 09

On my recent trip to the Mac store, I have discovered that they have come out with a new shadow formula called Dazzleshadow. I am usually on top of everything MAC, but I guess somehow I missed this little release and was very pleasantly surprised when I came upon them. I swatched a few but didn’t really have time to stand around and decide which one I wanted to get. So imagine my surprise when my friend showed up to my house with 10 out of the 11 shades. Happy early birthday to me!

Like I said, there are 11 shades in the collection. All the shades come in pots; they don’t make them in pans due to the fact that these are fragile and could potentially break. Well, they don’t know my depotting skills and me J.

The lightest out of the bunch is called She Sparkles. It’s a silver shimmery shade.

Next we have I Like To Watch, a light peachy pink.

Then we have Last Dance, an old gold sheen.

Say It Ain’t So is a blue grey with purplish shimmer.

Slow/Fast/Slow is a bronze.

Can’t Stop Don’t Stop is a violet color.

Then there is Feel The Fever, which is a purple sparkle.

Get Physical is dark purple and I fell like it’s the most tightly packed pan in the bunch. IT has the least amount of fall out.

Let’s Roll is a burnt orange color and Try Me On is a nice dark teal.

There is a “black” in the collection called Let’s Boogie that I don’t yet have, but it’s in the mail.

Mac describes these shadows as a color-true, high intensity, 3D pressed glitter. However, the colors that they have matched to the names on their site are not accurate. So if you really want these, you have to go to a Mac store or counter and swatch these for yourself.

When using them, make sure to have some sort of a sticky base. These are glitters and there is fall out. The glitter particles are super finely milled and easily cleaned from the skin but still, make sure to do your eyes first.

Overall, I give these shadows an A. I absolutely love them. I am obsessed with adding a little bit of glitter to my eye looks but really hate fumbling with loose glitter. These pressed glitters are a perfect addition to my collection because now I can have a little bit of sparkle every day!

Sasha
